East Anglia Wealth locations map

There are 16 Wealth locations in East Anglia, including Nickel Ingots, Gear, Ability, Cargo. We’ve broken then up into regions based (roughly) on the closest settlement or named region.

Serpent’s Landing

1 - Gear: Magister’s Cloak

Look for the large red tent at the west end of the Serpent’s Landing and a wooden cage. Smash through the wall on south wall to find the chest — but it’s locked. Run east and pick up the Serpent’s Landing Key from the table near the other tent. Take it back to the now-open cage to unlock the Serpent’s Landing Chest and claim the Magister’s Cloak (a Way of the Raven cloak).

Brisleah Farm

2 - Nickel Ingot

The Brisleah Farm Chest is located beneath the floorboards in the building to the south of the farm. Head to the north of the farm, grab the key near the pile of bodies and run back to the southern building. Break the boards to drop to the basement, then use the key on the door to get to the room with the chest containing Nickel Ingot.

Ruined Tower

3 - Nickel Ingot

At the enemy encampment in north East Anglia, to the east of the Wensum River, kill the Hell-Raiser (fire-throwing enemy) marked yellow and loot their body to get the North East Anglia Loot, containing Nickel Ingot.

4 - Ability: Blinding Rush

Enter the Ruined Tower (which also houses a Synchronization point) through the tall door on the west side. Smash the boards covering the hole in the floor and drop down as far as you can. Continue to the room at the end of the hallway, and use the oil jars to destroy the wall. In the next room, collect the Book of Knowledge and learn the Blinding Rush melee ability.

Scottoh Farm

5 - Nickel Ingot

Look for Scotthoh Farm southeast of the Ruined Tower. Break the boards covering the well near the hut, and descend to the bottom to loot the Scottoh Door Key. Climb back out, unlock the hut, and open the Scotthoh Farm Chest to find a Nickel Ingot.

Forest Hideout

6 - Gear: Carolingian Longsword

The Forest Hideout Chest is toward the southwest of East Anglia. Climb into the large, raised tent at the center of the camp, and loot the chest for the Carolingian Longsword (a Way of the Bear Great Sword).

King’s Bury

7 - Nickel Ingot

King’s Bury may not show up as a raid on your map (it didn’t for us), but you will need your raiding crew to get the wealth located here. Enter the area from the east and call your raiding crew to force the door inside the building on the left. Then grab the key off the shelf on the far end of the room and take it back across the courtyard to open the building and find a chest containing Nickel Ingot.

8 - Gear: Magister’s Mask

In the room at King’s Bury that you need your crew to help you force in, the first chest is opposite the shelf with the key. This chest contains the Magister’s Mask (a Way of the Raven helmet — well, “helmet”).

9 - Ability: Axe Blizzard

There’s not much to finding this one. At a ruined church west of the Yare River, climb to the second floor to collect the Book of Knowledge and learn the Axe Blizzard ranged ability.

Burgh Castle

10 - Nickel Ingot

Inside Burgh Castle (“castle castle”), head to the west end of the complex. Enter the squat building to find a pair of wheelie shelves blocking the entrance to the loot room. Move the small one to the right and back, and then move the larger one to the right to unblock the door. Enter the room to loot the chest containing a Nickel Ingot.

Dunwic

11 - Ability: Rush & Bash

This Book of Knowledge is located in Dunwic (“market on the hill”) fortress on the narrow peninsula along the east edge in the south of East Anglia. The best way to enter the fortress is via a secret passage along the south edge. (You can also enter from the front, or by climbing the cliff face on the east side.) Once you’re inside, follow the staircase to the second floor where you’ll find a beefy enemy sitting on the ground. Defeat him and grab the key from the crate behind him.

Break the floor with an oil jar to open a passageway to a lower floor. Climb down to find a room overlooking the sea, then grab the wheelie shelf against the wall and move it to reveal a locked door. Use the key you grabbed to open the door, and collect the Book of Knowledge and learn the Rush & Bash melee ability.

Beodricsworth

12 - Cargo

The easiest way to get this chest is during the Beodricsworth (“Beodric’s farm”) Raid in the south of East Anglia. From the Black Bourn River, lead your crew east and up the stairs into the courtyard with the fountain/statue in the center. Then, turn left and head into the building with the white and gold banners displayed on the outside. Once inside, advance down the hallway, and turn left to see a big, golden chest. Call an AI pal to help you loot the chest and get Cargo.

13 - Cargo

From the initial courtyard outside the first Beodricsworth chest location, run past the statue with a raised, handless arm, and up the double staircase to reach another courtyard with another fountain/statue. Turn right here and move past the big lion statue and into another building with white and gold banners. Once inside, the next chest containing Cargo is on your left.

14 - Cargo

The third Cargo chest is in the same room as the second. Open the metal cage at the back of the room — one of the guards should have the key — to loot the Cargo.

Sutton Hoo

15 - Gear: Plank and Buckler

This chest is located at the end of a lengthy underground cavern, so if you follow the map to the spot where it indicates that the wealth is in Sutton Hoo (“south village on a hill shaped like a heel”), you won’t find anything. But, the map indicator does place you right in front of the cavern you need to enter to find it. Run through the tunnel until you come to a well-lit, more open area where you’ll find a key on the left. Grab it, then continue forward and through a tight gap in the wall.

Once through, you’ll see a destructible wall with small holes in it. Shoot arrows through the holes (or just toss a torch over the wall) until you ignite the red pots hidden on the other side, exploding the wall. Wait for the fire to burn down, then advance through and unlock the chest to claim the Plank and Buckler (a Way of the Bear Heavy Shield).

King’s Bury

16 - Gear

The final piece of gear in East Anglia is a high-level reward for completing a few Daughters of Lerion Mysteries (which, as we’ll mention below, are a higher level than we had in this area).

East Anglia Mysteries locations map

There are 18 Mystery locations in East Anglia, including World Events, Flyting, a Fly Agaric Hallucination Challenge, Standing Stones, an Offering Altar, two Daughters of Lerion, an Animus Anomaly, and a Lost Dregr. We’ve broken then up into regions based (roughly) on the closest settlement or named region.

Seahenge

1 - Standing Stones: Seahenge

Along the northern coast of East Anglia, you’ll find Seahenge, a Standing Stones challenge. Read the message left on the rock by Brendan of Clonfert to see the symbol you will need to form. Use your Odin Sight ability to see the markings on the trees. Then move behind the short stump directly west of the large, central tree and fiddle with Eivor’s position until the symbol lines up.

2 - Cairn

From Seahenge, head west along the northern coast of East Anglia until you reach a rocky cliff overlooking the sea. Here you will participate in the Cairn activity, which requires that you stack stones until they reach a certain height. Go slow and make sure each stone has a good grip on the stone below before you let it go. Reach the determined height to finish the East Cape Peak Cairn.

Elmenham

3 - Fly Agaric Hallucination Challenge

Eat the Fly Agaric to be transported to this Hallucination Challenge. The clues are the objects that appear around you after you eat the mushroom. Counterclockwise, they are an Odin statue, some shields, and purple flowers.

Ruined Tower

4 - Offering Stone: Cedd’s Stone

Approach the large vertical stone with red arrow inscriptions beneath the large tree. Make your offering of 200 silver, and you will hear giggles behind you. when you turn around, you will find no one, and the notification will pop up to alert you that you have finished the Cedd’s Stone Offering Stone.

You will also find green footprints on the ground that will lead you to a new World Event nearby.

5 - Green Children of Anglia

After you visit Cedd’s Stone, follow the green footprints to the World Event marker a little north. You will see lantern-like objects hanging from the trees, a camp site, and an elevated wooden platform. You will also find the children who took your money at Cedd’s Stone. Chat with them and they will give you the St. Martin’s Seal Necklace, completing the “Green Children of Anglia” World Event. (This is based on a real story from the area.)

6 - Treasure of Britain

Grid View

Completing the Grime’s Graves World Event takes some time, but it isn’t too difficult.

When you come to the red tarp at the map marker, jump down the hole (don’t worry, there’s hay at the bottom) to begin a journey through a long dark tunnel. Take out your torch and proceed forward. Check the pictures above for the landmarks you’ll see along the way.

At one point, you will slip down an incline into a cursed area. Destroy the bull’s head to break the curse, then climb up the ladder. From here, keep going until you reach a black flag with a bear skull on it. Pass under it, and continue until you come to a dead end where there are some pots sitting on a table. Break the pots to claim the Mysterious Hilt Tablet, completing the Grime’s Graves Treasure of Britain.

7 - Flyting: Chadwick, Monger of Gossip

In Northwic, at the carved wooden pillar covered in flowers, you will find Chadwick, Monger of Gossip who will insult you and challenge you to a Flyt. To defeat him, answer:

Berkelow Bog

8 - Daughter of Lerion: Cordelia

Inside Berkelow Bog, you’ll meet a Daughter of Lerion named Cordelia. Like the other Daughter of Lerion and the Lost Drengr in this region, she’s very high level and difficult to defeat (we don’t stand a chance at 120).

Northwic

9 - World Event: Hunt and Hide

Approach the three children talking together beneath the tree and they will invite you to play hide and seek. But, unlike most video game iterations on the classic children’s game, you’re the one doing the hiding, not the seeking. We had good luck hiding in the bushes behind the tree where the game begins.

10 - World Event: Edmund’s Arrows

In Northwic, head into the longhouse at the center of town. Inside, you’ll find a throne with a bunch of loot indicators hovering around it. Begin to loot it and a woman behind you will call out that the arrows were sacred and that you should not have touched them. But, now that you did, she’ll offer to buy them from you. You must sell the arrows to the woman to complete the “Edmond’s Arrows” World Event.

11 - World Event: Freyja’s Friend

Approach a white cat, Nali, in the middle of Northwic, and speak to it. A child will run up and the cat will take off. Run after the cat and, when the cat stops, interact with it again. The cat will jump into your arms, and another (the same?) child will tell you that the cat hasn’t allowed anyone to pick it up since its owner died. Eivor jokes that they now have another member of their raiding crew and, sure enough, next time you hop in the longboat, the cat will be there with you.

12 - World Event: The Wayward

At the northeast end of Northwic, along the banks of the river, you’ll find a child named Asta attempting to call a horse. Follow the prompts to focus on the horse across the river. Head over, and ride it back to Asta to complete “The Wayward” World Event.

13 - Lost Drengr: Thor the Fishmonger

You’ll meet Thor and his son near the Wensum (“winding”) River northeast of Northwic. He’s a beast with rapid spear thrusts and deadly unblockable attacks. (We can’t beat him at level 120, so maybe get above that?)

Edmund’s Hope

14 - World Event: A Blood Hymn of Edmond

At Edmond’s Hope, a crumbling church which also contains East Anglia’s southmost Synchronization point, you will find a woman named Aelfwynn praying at an altar, surrounded by dead bodies. Approach her and she will say that God told her to strike them down, and to kill you, too. The ensuing fight isn’t too difficult, but if you’re low on health, take some time to stock up on berries from the bushes outside the church. Defeat Aelfwynn to complete the “A Blood Hymn for Edmond” World Event.

15 - Animus Anomaly

Interact with the Animus Anomoly and you will again switch from playing Eivor to Layla, Valhalla’s modern day protagonist. From there, approach the ruined building ahead and climb up onto the glowing Animus platform. Parkour your way up the platforms until you reach the beam of light. Manipulate the beam of light so that it solidifies the opposite platform. Continue climbing and manipulating the lights when necessary until you reach the top.

Dunwic

16 - World Event: Life Blood

Approach the hut to the southwest of Dunwic, a small way in from the east coast of East Anglia. Here, you’ll find a woman praying on the ground by the front door. To her right, you’ll find a patch of blood. Follow it to the nearby field, where you’ll find another woman, collapsed on the ground. Revive her, and you’ll have a choice to take her to the large stone nearby, or back to the hut. Choose either to complete the “Life Blood” World Event.

17 - Legendary Animal: Black Shuck

Head into the Roman ruins in the southeast of East Anglia. On the way in, you’ll find a note from an unlucky hunter who had been tracking the Black Shuck. You have to be inside the ruins and on the ground to engage with this Legendary Animal.

Forward Camp

18 - Daughter of Lerion: Regan

In the northwest of East Anglia, not far from the Forward Camp, you’ll find the Daughter of Lerion named Regan. (We could barely touch her at Power 120.)

East Anglia Artifacts locations map

There are 10 Artifacts in East Anglia, including a Treasure Hoard Map, a Rigsogur Fragment, Roman Artifacts, Flying Papers, and Cursed Symbols.

Mercury Temple

1 - Roman Artifact

When you reach the Mercury Temple in the northwest of East Anglia, check the room in the northeast corner for a shaft leading down into the water. Follow it to the end, and smash through a wooden wall to find this Roman Artifact

Elmenham

2 - Flying Paper: Vestri Wind Scheme (Back)

You’ll find this Flying Paper outside the church in Elmenham (“tree town”). Chase it east across the roofs to collect the Vestri Wind Scheme (Back) tattoo design.

3 - Cursed Symbol

A little east of Elmenham, look for this obviously cursed copse of trees. The Cursed Symbol is hanging high up in the tallest tree right in the middle.

Grime’s Grave

4 - Cursed Symbol

You’ll find this Cursed Symbol deep inside the tunnels leading from Grime’s Grave. (If you have the Legend of Beowolf add-on, this is where you’ll find Grendel’s mother.)

Northwic

5 - Flying Paper: Valhalla Blessing Scheme (Head)

On the west side of Northwic (“north village”), look for this Flying Paper near (but not along) the village walls — there’s a pile of logs and a beam sticking out at the starting point. Follow it along the ropes and trees, and down into the sheep pen to collect the Valhalla Blessing Scheme (Head) tattoo design.

6 - Rigsogur Fragment

Head into the longhouse in the center of Northwic. To the left of the throne, look for a rock-filled bookcase to move, and open up the room behind the throne. In that room, climb the ladder — you’ll have to smash a wooden barrier — to find and collect this Rigsogur Fragment.

Berkelow Bog

7 - Roman Artifact

Look for these Roman ruins a little south of where you find Daughter of Lerion Cordelia. Inside, this Roman Artifact is hanging on a wall near the southernmost entrance.

8 - Roman Artifact

A little southeast of Berkelow Bog is an area called Theotford Forest. Look for some round Roman Ruins there. Pick up one of the oil jars at the campfire to the south, and use it to destroy the breakable floor in the center.

Go grab another oil jar, and carry it down into the tunnel. Destroy the other breakable wall to find this Roman Artifact. (You may have to climb onto the statue to collect it.)

Burgh Castle

9 - Cursed Symbol

Look for this Cursed Symbol on the peninsula just south of Burgh Castle. There’s a crumbling tower next to a huge, gnarled tree. Climb up to the top of the tower, and look for a wooden trapdoor to break. You’ll find the Cursed Symbol right under it.

Edmund’s Hope

10 - Treasure Hoard Map

There is a small chapel just north of the main church (and Highpoint) at Edward’s Hope. You’ll need a key to get inside. Head for the church, and shoot down the ladder just inside the door. Climb up to find the Edmund’s Hope Door Key.

Run it back down the hill to unlock the chapel and collect the East Anglia Hoard Map.
