If you ask any child or an adult about Home alone, they would answer that Home Alone was the best kids movie. Until today, the people watch the film as this movie remains the best in the family to watch list.

Part one of the movies, released in 1990, was appreciated by fans worldwide. The fans were anticipating part two of the movie, which was released on 22 November 1992. 

The 1992 American comedy movie was directed by Chris Columbus and written and produced by John Hughes. 

After the release of Home Alone part 1, John Hughes started writing on part two of Home Alone. He finished writing by February 1991, and then the crew began shooting the sequel.

The return of Culkin was confirmed, and the crew was also finalized in a short period of time. 

The movie’s lead actor was a 12-year-old Macaulay Culkin, playing the role of Kelvin McCallister. A mischievous boy who is appreciated for his work by his siblings. 

The movie was released on 20 November 2020 in the United States. Although the movie was highly entertained, the movie had to face some critics. 

Such criticism was the use of violence and similarities with the previous movie. But, the fans ignored the criticism as everyone loved the movie.

Macaulay Culkin (Kelvin McCallister)

Macaulay Culkin had a very successful start at the beginning of his career. After the film grossed 359 million dollars, it was known that the boy would become a renowned star in the future.

Many fans expect Culkin to debut at the age of 10, but he was into acting from 4. 

After Home Alone, he starred in movies like Uncle Buck and My Girl and even hosted Saturday Night Live. The fans always loved the young boy’s acting.

However, Culkin took a turning step in his career by retiring from the acting industry in 2000. Recently, he was seen with his rock band The Pizza Underground, which was on tour to Columbia in 2014.

Joe Pesci (Harry)

Joe Pesci was among the funniest characters in the Home alone film. Joe was portraying Harry one half of the burglar, a thief who ran from jail.

Although he was known to be a dangerous thief, a setback named Kevin McCallister, a 12-year-old boy, has been a hurdle for him since part one. 

It was seen in the movie that the two burglars just escaped from the prison and bumped into Culkin. After Home Alone, he starred in some not-so-popular movies.

 In 1999, he retired from the acting industry and went on to become a musician. He focuses on striving for his music career after releasing two of his music albums. 

Daniel Stern (Marv)

Marv is the other half of the burglars who ran off the jail. He was featured in Home Alone for creating problems for Harry while trying to catch Kevin.

Apart from being a popular mix in the 80s and 90s era, he was the narrator of the Wonder Shows and directed countless episodes. 

Catherine O’Hara (Kate McCallister)

Catherine plays the role of Kate McCallister, who is the mother of Kevin. She comes to know twice that her son was unsuccessful in joining their family vacations. 

In part two, she is seen searching for her lost son in New York all by herself while her son fights off the burglars. In the end, the desperate mother finds her lost son under the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. 

Unlike Culkin and Pesci, she is still working in the acting industry. After the two parts of Home Alone, she starred in 30 Rock, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Modern Family. 

Until 2015, she has been a part of the Schitt’s Creek show, and she has performed voice overs for animated films such as Brother Bear 2, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Frankenweenie.

John Heard (Peter McCallister)

Before being featured in the Home Alone series, he was seen in smaller films and plays. In the late 80s and 90s, he was in supporting roles like Big, Beaches, Deceived, and Gladiator movies. 

Peter McCallister was the father of Kevin and the husband of Kate. The movie showed that Peter would plan a vacation, but Kevin couldn’t join them for it.

Heard had made his mind on focusing more on television after the big film hits. By the time, He secured his position in recurring roles in The Sopranos, CSI: Miami, and Prison Break. 

Heard was also famous for his guest appearances in Entourage and Modern Family. On 21 July 2017, Heard had died due to a heart attack. 

Devin Ratray (Buzz)

Devin enrolled for the brother of Kevin. His role was to overpower Kevin in some situations and demotivate him. Before Home Alone, he had a small part in little monsters.

Soon, after playing roles in Dennis the Menace and The Prince and Me. Recently, he starred as a guest in The Good Wife and Elementary and smaller indie films.

Donald Trump is the former president of the USA. In his early time, he used to be featured in movies and tv shows. 

He had a small role in Home Alone part two when Kevin enters the hotel and asks Trump for directions. Trump has also been featured in a variety of movies like Sex and the city.

Rob was having the role of a bell boy in Home Alone two, where he drops the luggage of McCallisters and gestures for tips from them but receives chewed gum. 

He is also famous for his role in the movie Benchwarmers, leading a team with losers that win in the end. He continues to star in many films after the 2000s.

Tim Curry is shown to be the manager at the Plaza hotel who doubted Kevin being a thief. Later, he confronts Kevin about the credit card.

During the 1990s to 2000s, he focused on his television career. After the 2000s, they decided to do voiceovers for the animated shows, including Peter Pan & The Pirates and The Wild Thornberries.

In Home Alone, Dana Ivey has portrayed the role of a hotel employee whose acting while trying to catch Kevin was hilarious. She was famous for her roles in The Color Purple and The Addams Family before Home Alone 2.
